Submission and publication basics

There are two options for submission: either full paper format or abstract format.  Full papers have an 8 page maximum length (10pt minimum, single space, wide margins), while abstracts are limited to 500 words.  Every submission will be subject to full peer review.  All accepted submissions will be allocated an oral presentation slot with no distinction being made between the two submission formats. Accepted full papers will be published.

The Proceedings will be published with Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science).

The link leads to our electronic submission system. Submitted manuscrupts need not be formatted for camera-ready production for the purposes of the review, but the general guidelines (see below)

Author instructions

Authors wishing to comply with the camera-ready guidelines alredy for the review are welcome do do so. Otherwise only the requirements listed above under „Submission basics” need to be fulfilled. For camera-ready format instructions see:

Camera-ready instructions

Read these instructions below before submitting.
Accepted papers will be asked in a final formatting following acceptance. Below is a formal text describing the procedure.

•    You will be sending at least 4 files according to the below categories:
(1) one file
(2) one or more files, very problably more than one
(3) one file
(4) one file

•    Check:
(1) Completed copyright form. See details below.
(2) Source (input) files, for example:
(a) LaTeX2e files for the text and separate PS/EPS or PDF/JPG files for each figure.
(b) RTF files (for word-processing systems other than LaTeX/TeX) and separate PDF/JPG files for each figures. See note below.
(c) Any further style files and fonts you have used together with your source files and that are not generally available at CTAN.
(d) Final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX/TeX).
(3) Final PDF file (for reference).
(4) A readme informing on your name/s order of appearence. See details below

•    Note on using Microsoft Word/RTF:
Springer does not encourage the use of Microsoft Word, particularly as the layout of the pages (the position of figures and paragraphs) can change between printouts. However, they provide the relevant templates and sample files for PC (sv-lncs.dot) and Mac (sv-lncs) environments.
Check carefully the Information for LNCS Authors Page. Please read the explanatory sv-lncs.pdf and the instructions in typeinst.doc.
•    Details about authors's names, to be sent as a readme: please include a separate readme informing which of your names is/are your first name(s) and which is/are your family name(s). Authors are listed alphabetically according to their surnames in the author index.
•    Details on Copyright Forms: Final (accepted) papers must be accompanied by a copyright transfer form. The copyright form may be downloaded here. Please include your signed copyright form as scanned pdf. One author may sign on behalf of all the other authors of a paper. Digital signatures are acceptable.
